probably a BAD idea to post that if you havent even STARTED developing the app.. people are not going to not steal it just because asked them not to.

Just a FYI

Man, I wish I would have thought of an application that allows users to submit all their stuff. Kinda like how artists can submit all their work to deviant art. And musicians can distribute over limewire, and writers can use blogspot. Man...if only someone would develop this totally AWESOME application.

There are so many websites that share user generated content (you name it- video, audio, stories, images) now that it would be tough to attract submissions and content consumers... Who knows, you could break out of the pack. To get people interested you're better off going with a free app that shows tiny advertisements at the bottom of the screen (like the NY Times app). Best of luck to you :D

Edit - took my time here, looks like Jeremy1026 agrees with me (although a bit more sarcastically)...

i agree too.. to get people to actually share is the hard part, because you will have NO customers to begin with.. all the other options, like youtube, photobucket, ect are existing communities with LOTS experience under their belt.

have you been to GATHER? That is EXACTLY what you are talking about in terms of creativity. Theonly thing that dont have is a musicians sections.

Actually

actually, I already gave lots of content owned by me and many of my friends ( in total about 100 different things) so that is enough to start it off.

Plus I have started off the project in Xcode, so I wouldn't say That I have not begun.

Anyways, the real point is that lots of people are going to be I teresred in having they're work available ON THE APPSTORE, and many people (including myself) will be interested on buying.

wait.. you're not going to be able to make people's content an APP.. I dont understand.. its just going to be like a social network for artists to share their creations right?

yes

I have not joined the program yet, but I've made up a few basic things like a slang word dictionary and an "Ambience" copy. Oh, and a flashlight lol.

This one is going to be a little bit hard but I think I can do it.

oh come on, i wanted to see what this great idea was!

Believe me, it wasnt that great of an idea. There's about 50 other similar ideas out there. And jeez, in his lay out, that he then deleted, he said he wanted to charge for this not so good app.....

I know my opinion means nothing to you(OP) but it wasnt great nor really original, and to charge for it was een more pointless since the other very similar business/apps are free...

Anyway, my .02 (and what I say shouldn't matter)
