Amazon has T5 usb3 1tb SSD on sale is this a good idea/deal to add SSD to 2017 imac

at the minute my imac has an internal 1tb fusion, I keep thinking about getting SSD, not sure about opening my machine versus a cheaper usb or more expensive thunderbolt drive. my machine is for recreational use, bit of gaming, storing and streaming movies, nothing too strenuous.

Amazon has a Samsung MU-PA1T0B/EU Portable SSD T5 1TB on sale for amazon prime day, for £118, which is 146 dollars. that seems really cheap but am I missing something

It will support up to 540 MB/sec read and write speeds but you will get slightly less then that. I have the same drive I use as my boot drive SSD for my iMac 2015 27"
