My mother was planning on purchasing a white MacBook at 1.83Ghz. It was available yesterday, but as of tonight Amazon says the item is not available.

Is this normal? Will they restock the MacBook any time soon?

I'm sure Apple still has them ;)

But if you want to Order from amazon, they should restock soon. I would think.

Amazon ships their Apple products from Ingram Micro and if Amazon is out, then Ingram is out. It seems odd that a major distributor could run out without there being a replacement announced.

I'm guessing just a supply-demand problem. Amazon is pretty good about having popular items in stock so they should pop up sometime soon.

I think they're (Amazon) just having a hard time fulfilling current orders. If you poke around on the web, there seems to be a lot of people grumbling that their ship dates are pushed pretty far back.
