hi,
just some general questions , help appreciated. am thinking of ordering a PB 12" (512MB) from Amazon cos they have a mail-in rebate of $150. That is quite a big amount for me. Was thinking of then buying 1GB ram direct from mac to upgrade the PB myself, cos it is still cheaper if i buy from Macshop direct.

1.I wonder if i buy from Amazon, will it be qualified under the 1 year Apple warranty should anything goes wrong?
2. Amazon does not state the OX of the PB? i have tried contacting them but no reply yet. Does anyone know if their PB comes with the newer OSX 10.4 Tiger/ Ilife06,etc?
3. The mail in rebate (is it in cash rebate form or gift voucher, etc) Pardon me if my question sounds silly, but I have rarely buy stuff from the net. so hence,....
thanks alot for any advice.

1) Yes. Manufacturers warranty is irrespective of point of sale.

2) assuming latest revision of PB? Yes tiger. But wouldn't like to say on iLife 06. Probably not I'd guess.

3) If the rebates from apple it'll be in cheque form. Not sure if it's from Amazon but I imagine a cheque again.

1.Yes.
2. It should come with 10.4 Tiger, but if it doesn't come with iLife '06, you can pay $20 or something like that and Apple will send you the updated version.
3. It should be a check from Amazon.com

:) thank you very much... that really helps to make my decision quick. I have added up, can save about $150 or more bucks. (hope this can help others who are new like myself, trying to get the best reasonable buy)
