Wow! Must be the 'super' upgrade for the black book. ;) Why is it always Amazon with the odd typos? They seem to always crop up with oddball mistakes on web pages.

xm..maybe i will send an email to Amazon and ask if it is 1x512000 or 2x256000, it does really matter since i need to know how to upgrade it further!

Last year, MacConnection had in their catalog for months that you could get a free iBook upgrade to 512GB RAM.

I'd say buy one and expect them to to provide you with the 512000MB of RAM. When it comes with only 512 complain that it was false advertizing and demand a free MB.

haha i was just thinking the same. i mean, it's a ridiculous typo that surely anyone would recognize.. but i wonder what would happen if you claimed stupid and demanded that they'd lied.

Once you click on the offer and put it into your shopping basket the correct technical details show up.. so no luck for you, I fear ;-)

haha, i certainly wasn't actually considering going through with it!

You are all misunderstanding what's going on here. Amazon is shipping the MacBook with 512MB installed (as shown once you add it to your cart). However, they are also shipping with it 999 additional 512MB sticks just in case the installed one fails.

Well if that was the case, I would have a field day on ebay. :D

It's like the other week when Dell mispriced their 20.1 wide-screen LCDs at $160 (instead of $360). I heard about people buying 20+ to sell on eBay. Why do I always miss these things?
