Amazon and Best Buy are discounting Apple's 13-inch M2 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and 256GB SSD storage down to $799.00 in every color. This is a $200 discount on the M2 MacBook Air, and the sale does not require any coupon code in order to see the final deal price.

Compared to past sales, this is a solid second-best price on this model of the M2 MacBook Air. Although this is a previous generation device, it remains in Apple's current lineup and will work great for anyone who doesn't need the performance gains introduced with the M3 chip, especially at this discounted price.

If you're looking for a deal on the M3 MacBook Air, you can get the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and 256GB SSD storage for $1,099.99 on Amazon, down from $1,299.00. There is only one color available at this record low price on Amazon.

I have an M1 MBA with 16GB/512GB that I bought as a refurb for $800 in 2021. I actually prefer the charger to be USB-C rather than Apple's proprietary charger. I'll save my money and hold on to my MBA M1 for a long while, I believe.
?? Apple laptops have had Thunderbolt with USB-C charging for many years, and still do. Many Mac laptops additionally have (my personal preference) MagSafe ports. When you use a TB port just for charging on an MBA you are wasting 50% of your TB ports. More modern MBAs with MagSafe still have both TB ports available while plugged in to the MagSafe charger.

My guess is MBA buyers probably need less i/o throughput anyway, which is one of the reasons they buy MBAs instead of the much more competent MBPs. Obviously if you happen to be connecting to the right peripheral you can use the TB and concurrently charge through the same port, often at a slower rate of charge. I have never had any issues while charging quite slowly on my 2016 MBP.

Micro Center has the M3 MacBook Air at the same price-

I wish microcenter shipped to me. :\

But the MacBook doesn’t have a contract or service fee, so it has that going for it.
There's no requirement that the iPhone have a contract/service fee (beyond the 1 month needed to get the discounted price) either if you don't need a mobile wireless connection. Just connect it to Wi-Fi (at home, work, library, Starbucks, etc) as you would the MacBook.
