Amazon TV/Stick PS4 controller

I heard you can use one on these, my question is. How does this work when you have a PS4 in the same room.

Do you sync it to one or the other everytime you use it? I am assuming you can't have it synced to both because you would turn the PS4 on everytime you would use it...

Do you guys understand what i'm asking or is it still kind of confusing?

I believe you'd have to resync every time if you swapped. It may be easier to simply buy a spare cheap PS3 controller instead.

I didn't think you could use PS3 controllers (only PS4)
