I was wonderi how often ATI/AMD updates its mobility drivers? I know that on my old pc desktop with a 5850 the updates were released every month towards the tail end of each month. I would check their website about once a month to see if i was currently running the most recent drivers.

Is this the same thi with the mobility drivers?

Whathappens if AMD/ATI stops support for the driver. Will the card be locked at whatever the last update was?

I'm just wondering about the drivers for the 5850m in my new iMac 27". Even if they stop making the part they should still update the drivers for a few years, right? Like there still doing for the 49xx series cards?

Thanks in advance for the responses

Glad to hear. Thanks. I guess ttheres no need to worry about the release of the new 6xxx series cards
