I recently got a new AMD 6900XT reference card. I connected triple monitors with 2 DisplayPorts and 1 USB-C port (using USB-C to DisplayPort connector).

However, whenever it's awake from sleep, I 90% of the time have to unplug the USB-C port and reconnect it in order for the monitor to pop up. This happens on both Mac OS Big Sur and Boot Camp Windows 10 latest as of today. Note this never happened in my other cards (W5700X and RTX3090 Founder's Edition).

Is this occurring to anyone? My specs are in my signature below.

Thanks.

On the Windows 10 side, I had a driver update as of Oct 8 which I installed about 4-5 days ago, and ever since I updated the driver, for some reason on both Windows/Mac OS I haven't had any crashes. However, I have been using an HDMI port instead of the USB-C port as I read it somewhere that the USB-C port was reserved for virtual reality specifically and not necessarily for external monitors. All in all, I'm glad that it's not haunting me anymore.

Ok never mind, it looks like Mac OS is still the same. I was wondering how installing a driver on the Windows side would help Mac OS, but there goes my guess.

Just updated to Monterey, we'll see. Even until yesterday whenever I put it to Lock Screen for a while or Sleep, if I try to turn it back on it will crash with the black apple screen to press a button and re-start. The error message has been very similar which was panic/kernel crash with the graphics card related.
