I have the base 15" Macbook Pro with a AMD Radeon HD 6490M. So my question is which card will give me better gaming performance? The 6490M or the built in Intel card?

The 6490M has 256Vram while the Intel has 348.

Also on bootcamp, is there any other 6490M drivers that I can install besides the default apple drivers?

If you have a Mac laptop but want to really game, and have the space for it, buying a 13" Macbook that can't game at all and spending what you saved over buying a 15" on a dedicated gaming PC will give you a MUCH better experience.

But to answer your question, the AMD card is FAR FAR FAR better than the Intel stuff because the AMD is a dedicated card. The 6750 in the next 15" up is a huge step in performance again.

My macbook isn't meant for me to game on, just some casual stuff, I have consoles for gaming.

Does AMD provide their own drivers for the 6490?

The AMD is a dedicated video card with it's own VRAM. The Intel is an integrated card on the logic board and shares the main RAM which is slower. The AMD is going to be far better for gaming.
