I hadn't realised until today just how power efficient my MSI Armor RX580 8gb " can" be.

( I'm assuming that iStats Menus Vers. 6.31 ( registered ) which now shows GPU power usage is basically pretty close to realworld wattage. If my Mac-intuition is working . . it "feels" about right. )

Single 24" 1080 Monitor at IDLE
No videos or stressful apps running. Just Firefox eg : CNN news.
Temp : 38°C ~ 47°C ( 47°C if a video starts )
Wattage : 12w ~ 16w.

TWO 24" 1080 monitors at IDLE
No videos or stressful apps running. Just Firefox eg : CNN news
Temp : 54°C +
Wattage : 71w

Currently gleefully watching a CNN news video re Trump impeachment . . . .

So. . . until winter truly sets in I'm using ONE monitor.
Electricity is expensive here in Japan since the Fukushima meltdown.

Checked my results on a pulse 580 with two 27 qhd displays.
48deg, 66w
Also my memory clock is 2ghz (yours shows 300mhz), does this change with usage?

1) You should ignore that power usage, that number is erroneous.

2) the memory clock speed will change with usage. However, for multi monitor environment, it will stay at high clock speed.

You can try disconnect one of the monitor, but only leave another one connected. You should see the memory clock speed reduce straight away (unless you are running 3D apps, or using the GPU to compute, etc).
