Looks like apple pay is coming to Canada through Amex!!!
Will likely only be on Amex cards and not Bank Amex cards.
Atleast this will push the banks a little bit.
As stated by Tim during call!
I went to Amex site investigating and not sure what card to get. I'm with CIBC but would also get a small Amex just to use Apple Pay. I'd pay off the card every month.Yes! Now just how much longer do we have to wait for AMEX to start working?
And hopefully the banks will get on board too.

You thinking of A no-fee or annual fee based card? What do you get with CIBC? There are plenty of options.
I currently have the Gold Membership rewards card and its been well worth its fee. Plus you get $250 on singing up, first year free and another $50 referral bonus.
For no-fee they have the Simply Cash back with 1.25%. or No fee Gold Air Miles card
I have CIBC Aerogold Infinite. So with that card you have (Gold Membership) I can transfer my points one for one to Aeroplan?

I think I'll do the same. Just wondering how to pay it off easily - wonder if can setup payment through my bank like any other payment?I decided to apply for the Simply Cash card. Used to have the Costco AMEX card till that relationship ended, but now I have a reason to use AMEX again for small purchases. Hope the RBC will be onboard someday with ApplePay
