What do you guys think of this suggestion? I live in Norway and have an unlocked iPhone, and obviously I love it. Anyway, I just wrote to Steve Jobs suggesting an amnesty for unlocked Iphones. I suggested that we could make a one-off payment in iTunes that would bring an unlocked iPhone back into the fold and would allow us to update the phone without fear of it being re-locked.
I suggested that part of the one-off payment could go to a charity like Amnesty International of Project (RED). I have to be honest and say that I would be really happy to do this, and if the money went to charity it would be great PR for Apple. Also, it would be a great gesture of goodwill towards Apple fans who support the company
but, for whatever reason, wanted to go for an unlocked iPhone.
