Hello.
I'm after a bit of advice, I am currently using the original Google WFi system. I am thinking of upgrading. I have used a Ubiquiti Dream Machine and WiFi 6 Lite access point but for me it was too complicated to setup and I never got it to perform correctly, and I had wowed issues, so I went back to my Google WiFi.

So I want something simple, and Google doesn't seem to be offering a WiFi 6 system yet.
The Amplifi app seems as simple to use, has anyone gone from the Google WiFi to the Alien? How did you find it?
Basically I want to know if anyone has got the Amplifi Alien twin pack and how it's performed for you.

I have just a single Alien base station. I love everything about it, especially the app. I have an Amplifi mesh system in another location and it too is outstanding. I’m sure Alien meshes are just as good. Amplifi is the consumer facing product from Ubiquiti, which is very prevalent in commercial installations.

Opposite experience here with Amplifi. I have 2 HD routers in a wired Mesh configuration. It replaced and old AirPort Extreme plus wired AEX's. At first all went well. After a few firmware updates, the handoff from one router to another got flaky. Well documented on their discussion forums. Speed, UI, ease of setup and dependability are fine but the handoff is enough of an issue for me to be looking for a replacement system. I’d suggest a trip to the Alien discussion forum on their site to see how users are getting along with it.

Thanks, I did pose this question on the Ubiquiti forum and had someone tell me they sold the Amplifi as it lacked features.
Otherwise it seems fine, no real major issues being reported from what I can see.
