What will really help us all to compare our battery lives is to list what the usage indicator reads in the settings. That will be much more telling than the typical 'I play my iPod an hour or so and email every hour' response. It should also not state "iPhone has been plugged in since last full charge."

What will really help us all to compare our battery lives is to list what the usage indicator reads in the settings. The problem with that is listening to music with the screen off will draw less power then watching a movie with the screen on.

comparing user to user with "just" usage numbers will be hard.

So match apple's settings for video playback and compare times. That way there are no variables.
