Dear Mr. Jobs:

I write this more as a concerned stockholder than a concerned Mac/MobileMe subscriber. Apple had an extremely ambitious plan to release the 3G iPhone, 2.0 software for the first iPhone/iPod touch, MobileMe and the launch of the AppStore. Let's face it, Apple dropped the ball. Sure, problems were to be expected but all the issues combined approach clusterf*** territory.

It is now after 2pm ET and all we've heard from you was a press release telling us how successful sales of the iPhone 3G were over the weekend. Might you have sold another 100,000 or 200,000 more had all these problems not received so much attention on the Internet and in the news?

Come on Steve. Get out in front of these problems with an apology and explanation of when we can expect MobileMe to be fully functional and why were features touted so highly in the WWDC keynote removed?

I'm concerned about the inevitable class-action lawsuits that will arise out of this and cut into earnings. I'm concerned because today whould have been a $10 gain in AAPL if not for all the problems the press is reporting.

Come on Steve, get out in front of this and put it to rest.

Sincerely:

R. Downs
AAPL Stockholder and Mac user since 1986.

I would second this with a removal of the foul language. Otherwise, this is spot on.

Remove the fowl language and the entire part "Come on Steve". Seems a little informal - your addressing the CEO of Apple Inc.
