An opinion for a room

Hey guys ( and gals ) I am new to this Forum, so hello!

I know this is going to be like asking a blind guy what his favorite porno is..but I'm stuck on ideas.

So I've had my room setup like this forever, and it's starting to get old.

So I was wondering if you guys could help me out.. I'm just looking for some cool/not cool ideas on how re-arrange my room.

I don't think there are many options..but it never hurts to try.

Small table next to the bed, doubling as a night stand; Desk and chair in front of the window.

The room is kinda cramped, so there's not that many options available.

Be better to have a proper photo really. But maybe either put the bed under the window with the head end at the upper side of the room with the table as a nightstand, then put the desk against the wall where your bed is. Or alternatively you could just move your bed to where your desk is (or leave it if you prefer) and put the desk under the window.

Those are the only options I can really see from that picture.

Having your bed up against the wall like that is probably the best use of space, you could alternatively have it up alongside (about a foot away) from the closet. I actually have my bed setup in my room like that right now and it's.. okay but I wish I had more room lol.

It hinges on this, really. If the furniture is to scale, then space is indeed cramped and that severely limits your options.

well, i don't know what the dimensions are, how far down your windows come on the wall, how far out your closet sticks into the room. here's an idea, though. depending on what the dimensions are, you could put the little table by the bed or just keep it beside the desk. so by putting the bed under the windows, you end up using space that was wasted before.

lol no the closet is like built into the wall. So it gives me some room in there. I had my desk in there for a while and didn't like it.

No, The furniture is not to scale. I will take some pictures and post them.

lol. No this is not a dorm room. Its bigger. I just made a image to show how it was setup.

I most certainally will take some photos. And yes, the view is my yard and my house backs up to a 'mini forest' and a small creek that runs through my neighborhood.

I took the liberty of shortening your bed, hoping that your room is wider than your bed is long.... you did say the drawing was not to scale. Two versions, depending on whether you like looking out the window when at your desk, or would prefer less distractions. Cheers.

i think the one you're using now is in its most efficient way (i know it's old)..i've had the same problem facing a forever room setup too but i chose to stay unchanged

Thanks dude. I like the idea. I will test it out. I will post a actual pic of the room.

I say put your bed so that it runs along the wall with the window. Nothing will actually increase your open floorspace, but by being creative, your floor space will be shaped like a square or rectangle, which is far more usable than having a narrow strip of floor between your desk and bed. All the space between your chair and window is being under-utilized. Your chair divides those two spaces (if the space between your desk and bed is as cramped as in the photo).

My room is not big, but not small. However, it feels far 'bigger' than my housemates' bedroom because mine is more open. Heck, I even park my bike in my room, and yet I have more space despite having identical room layout.

What program could I use to make a something like this for my room? I have the dimensions of everything.. i just need the software.
