iPad Android Calendar Sync

I’ve been using the standard calendar on my ipad for about 4 years now and love it. I had it synced to my android phone and the google calendar on that.
recently I bought a new android phone but the calendar won’t sync. Both calendars are signed in on the same email address.

If you just set up your phone, sometimes it takes a bit of while for everything to sync. Also, there are times that Google sync services are down.
Just to make sure you have selected the calendar to sync, go to your settings and check your Google account under users/accounts/ something with that phrase (the settings might be different depending on the brand of your phone) and see if the calendar sync is turned on.
