Now that Nougat is official and most of the features are known with the final beta.

What do we predict for O? What new features? Possible names?

- I expect the app drawer to go away.... good or bad, but hopefully it will be an option.
- A dark theme would be nice to have eventually.... it keeps popping up here and there
- How about a full phone "incognito" mode?
- Double tap to wake would be great in AOSP, better active display

Just mentioned in the Nougat thread...if we though the name options this year were limited, 'O' is even worse.

No idea what to expect option-wise. Considering the already teased their version of 3D Touch, I'd expect to see it then. I'd also love to see double tap to wake as a native option and maybe some further additions to both the lock screen and notification panel. Otherwise, not a clue.

a better place
I'm betting on 'OREO' ..... other than name, I think its safe to say I want to see what makes it into actual release when Android N rolls out and OEM's begin butchering it to suit their skins, before I can say what I want in O.

But Oreo is another brand name...does everyone think they will go back down that road again?

US
If they can work with Nestle for KitKat, they can work with Nabisco & Cadbury for Oreo.
True...forgot about that! Maybe some cross promotion deals like they did with KitKat bars.

I actually liked Oreo the best... simple, short, tasty. :p I just got the impression that it's unlikely Google would go the brand partnership again.

I really would love to see Android implement some of OnePlus' software features. So many things are customizable.

And night mode? Theming? Gestures? Some form of Always On Display. And a few other things.

Android is just getting so feature-rich now and beastly. It's great. The room to grow is getting smaller and smaller. It'll be interesting to see where Allo and Duo are at too by the time Android O's coming around. Will we finally see things merged together to be more cohesive?

Android has really grown to be an incredibly flexible, fast, reliable, and mature OS. I'm struggling to find many serious things I'd want in Android O. My wants are just getting more and more nitpicky. Can't exactly say the same for my iOS wishlist.

Well I know that, being from the UK. But you can't tell me you never saw Kenan and Kel?!

And the very 'America centric' Ice Cream Sandwich says hey... ;)

I wonder if the OS will get a complete makeover ? Seems like Google does a total revamp of the OS one year, with two two releases after that, and then moves to a whole new redesign again;

- Ice Cream Sandwich was a big revamp, followed by bug patches and tweaks added in Jellybean and then KitKat
- Lollipop was a whole new redesign, followed by tweaks with Marshmallow and now Nougat
- Will O be the next major redesign ?
