Shouldnt be a surprise when there are countless Android tablet manufacturers and tons of price options including cheap and generic Chinese tablets

Some great reads. So has anyone here converted to Android ditching their former ipads?

How the ipad stalled and Android took over the tablet market

Same thing happened with phones. Apple set the lead and it took the competition a couple of years to catch up and actually be competitive. Price point of the Nexus 7 and the UI experience being on par with Apple was the tipping point in late 2012.

I own both an iPad and Nexus 7's, and I am sure there are a lot like me. But prior to the first Nexus 7, there was nothing appealing to the Android tablet market. I am also glad to see Windows 8 tablets like the Venue 8 pushing into this market.
