Before I start this is kinda a useless post and i know it so try not post to bad a comment please.

I always had android from way back 1.6
Mainly had samsungs, high end models on contract.

but about year ago tried IOS with a 6s+
Is a great phone in so many ways.

But was missing few options I had in my s7 edge.

So I bought a cheap china phone.
1.3GHz octo core cpu
3GB ram
32GB ROM
and a 6" screen
and 4100mAh Battery
Android 6.0 stock rom.

great phone for £127.
Like it and very fast.
battery is amazing last nite ended day with 56% left!

Thing is I got used to ios, so what did i like better on ios?

sms app much cleaner
stock keyboard better
cleaner image gallery
imessage
better UI

What do i like about new phone?

SD slot
HUGE screen
file explorer built in
removable battery
USB support (flash memeory, keyboard ,etc)

I am still not sure was right move going back to android.
I like both for different reasons.

If only could run android on iphone...

It completely depends upon your requirement, after switching back to Android are you regretting the decision?

"better UI" (iOS)

how?

I feel it is abit "hit and miss" rather than simple or better.

Maybe he means the simplicity of it? I don't know how can a boring screen with icons stick on top of a wallpaper can be considered better but ok...

I recently sold my iPhone SE and am using a Google Pixel. I do not miss iOS much at all to be honest..

The few things I miss I've found ways to accomplish.

Yes ios simpler.

as for wall paper I just have a blank screen with no apps on it, then swipe to left for my apps.
This way my home screen as it where is blank and just see the wallpaper.

I'm tempted go back, been using my iphone 6s plus again.
Main reason is the usb host in android as started to use it a bit more.
Been using my android tablet (samsung tab s 8.4)

If only apple/ios had the usb support then it would be near on perfect!
For me anyway...

I'm using a Note 4 and a iPhone 6 Plus... The one thing is widgets. I can't handle having of half the iPhone screen blank, and not able to move apps into another area. On Droid, I can fill empty space with a widget.

If Apple can have a widget system by swiping to the right, then I'm sure they can allow for widgets anywhere on the phone.

The one thing I don't like about Android and it's widgets, is that its a battery nightmare. No matter what anybody says, widgets will kill your battery. So pros and cons of what I miss on iOS

Perhaps there is something wrong with your battery? Android phones usually have bigger capacity batteries than iPhones so they last way long, also your note 4 is almost 3 years, no battery can have it's full capacity on that cycle.

What widgets have you been using?? I have never had any problems with battery draining because of a fricking widget :)

Interesting.. Depends how often that widget updates. Weather widgets especially, as well as widgets related to news etc that refreshes at set intervals will drain your battery.

Not really. It takes seconds at the most to refresh with decent signal. I had no issues with my weather widget set on 30min intervals. But now I keep it on "refresh when wake" setting, which actually makes more sense. Now if you have a widget that's constantly pinging for location, that could be a battery drain. Some of the crappy widgets do that, instead of only getting location when refreshing.

Which ever way you look at it, or which widget does what, a widget still needs to refresh at some point to keep the info up to date. I agree, some widgets are crappy and might drain a battery faster, but a widget would still eat into a battery faster than a static app that just sits there. So I'm assuming that is why Apple decided against the use of it.

I've had widgets that have been updated every 30min and no drain at all. With my latest android (oneplus 3T) for example it drained 2% over night with that widget.

I generally don't find widgets that useful. At a glance stuff that gives me scores are good. Otherwise, I find most widgets don't save me a great deal of touches vs just opening the app proper.

Just like apps, there are a lot of widgets that suck and are not very useful. There are some that I find are very useful. Useful ones don't just save on touches, they save time. For instance, some apps have a splash screen that appears for a few to several seconds before the app actually shows you any useful information. A widget that shows you this information is very handy. I use weather widgets that show not only the current temperature, but also the short term forecast. It's faster than one of my weather apps that takes a few seconds showing you the splash screen every time you start up the app and then you have to scroll.

very true.

reviews from real users are good.

my iphone has a size limit 16GB, could not afford bigger.
android lets me add an SD and lets my use usb memory.

these two factors was my reason for change as be handy for work, etc.

Dont get me wrong iphone amazing device and blows most android out water in almost every aspect.

My widget use depends on the device I'm using. On my phone I use TWO on my primary home screen, the clock and oneto track data usage with the Project Fi app. On my tablet, I have a few on my primary home screen, two are just for quick access my my inbox for a couple email accounts.
