Android user want to know how to organize photos in iPhone and Mac

Hello, I was an Android user. I take lots of photos and I was able to create folders on my Galaxy Note. Then, selected a batch of photos and moved them into any folder I wanted. For examples, photos taken during Christmas holiday in 2013 were moved to Christmas2013 folder. Such photos do not remain in the top level and I won't see them. I could access those folders only by going to specific folder I created. This is good as I don't get overwhelmed by tones of photos.

After moving to iPhone last year, I have problem in organizing the photos. Even I created folders and moved those photos into specific folders, they still show up at the top level. Since there are too many photos, I also do not know if I really copied all these photos into folders or they just got moved.

In Android words, what can I do to make the organization of photos on my iPhone the Android way?

you have to organize them as albums in the photos app on the iPhone or iPhoto on the Mac.

But even I created an album and moved/copied? tones of files to it, I can still see them in all photos. I hesitate to delete photos in All photos as I am not sure if all the photos I wanted actually got moved/copied to the album.

Albums contain "virtual" copies of your photos and there is no way to move them out of the all photos view (by definition, it shows you all your photos): Deleting them from there will also remove them from any album they're in

1. Be it on my iPhone or in Photos of my Mac, do not delete any photo/video from All photos unless I am sure that I do not want that photo/video.

2. If I feel overwhelmed by the large number of photos/video in All Photos, the only way is just not to look at them.

1. Install Google Photos. Back them up. Create Albums. You can access them on any Android or IOS device going forward and they will be organised.

2. Or using Photos app, simply create albums and move the photos you want into that and then just use the folder/album view when you want to use it instead of camera roll or all photos.

1) Yes
2) Yes, if you copy the pictures to a folder on your desktop (i.e. in Finder, not in Photos) they will stay in there if you remove them from Photos. It will be the only copy though so you'll need to back them up somehow if they matter to you
