Does anyone else notice that Angry Birds in particular pretty much rapes your battery? lol.

On my iPhone 4, it would do this.

And on my iPod touch 3g, it does it.

I mean, any game can be a battery killer. But this really seems to be a brutal app.

I don't actually agree with that, I was on a train for 4hrs today, played Angry Birds for atleast 3hrs of that, and I'd only lost 12%, I say thats amazing.

Obviously every phone is different, and every battery.

So you get around 24 hours gaming on your iphone on one charge, wow you must have got the battery they took out of the deloreon

I haven't noticed Angry Birds being any more of a drain than any other game.

FaceTime on the other hand, wow that's a battery sucker.

I'd love to know how all these batteries stay at 100% for so long, I've been up for 3hrs, made two, one minute phonecalls received three emails and already my batts at 76%

My phone had been on charge all night, as anyone with an iP4 will know, the charge stays on 100% for quite some time before going down.

And I have never heard of this 100% thing before. If I haven't heard of it being mentioned, and it happens to be it surprises me you can make such an assumption. And yes I have an iP4 and it goes down to 99% by the time I get to the train station from my house.

Besides, 88% is 88%.

EDIT: haven't played AB in a long stretch before, but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary with this or any other game.

wow thats not possible! and my phone dosent stay on 100% any longer than any other %

Angry Birds doesn't suck any more battery life then any other app as graphically intensive as it. It's just addictive and chances are you play it longer and more often then other apps.

That's far from a universal truth amongst iPhone 4 owners.

Yikes, man. That shouldn't be happening.

My iP4 stays on 100% for surprisingly long, but I think this is more due to the % indicator not being calibrated correctly. There are plenty of times when my indicator says 100%, but if I use a battery utility app to look at % charge it is not actually 100%.

Anyways, the reason ABs takes so much battery is because playing ABs is like stepping into a time warp. You think you've been only playing for a few minutes, but it is actually hours.

Are you guys serious? Your iP4 doesn't stick at 100% for a good while? That surprises me quite a bit. My GF's iP4 and a mate of mine do it, thats why I honestly believed it'd be more common.

My main point was, due to this 100% issue (gift? I dunno what to call it now :p) I only lost 12% of battery. Who's to say tomorrow I won't lose 30%, it'd differ everyday I'd assume.

As someone else has mentioned, your battery percentage isn't being accurate. You can't use a battery and maintain a full charge. It defies the laws of physics.

I think its knackered I've made about 10 minutes of calls today, received a few emails and browsed the web for about an hour, as of now from 7am this morning its 14%

Yeah, take that thing in to be looked at. Are you jailbroken, and if so, what Cydia apps do you have installed?

Agreed I think you might want to try to recalibrate your battery! Angry birds is not more intensive then any game. probably less because it's not graphic intensive and fairly simple but fun!

i love Angry Birds and it doesn't drain more than madden or any other game. it's a truly awesome game. CHIRP CHIRP

HTC EVO -- AB drains it!!!

My HTC EVO was in use for many productive things -- email, ssh, googling stuff randomly during the day. With ATK, I could still make it to 5pm without a battery warning. On a fully-charged battery, I can sit and watch it drain completely within an hour while playing Angry Birds. I *MIGHT* have had 90 minutes before it shut down the phone.

I have been putting into airplane mode lately, which seems to prevent some of the ads from popping up (and if it doesn't prevent the ads, it prevents the radio from going online and downloading new ads).

The drain is SIGNIFICANT. Is this just battery drain frmo having the SCREEN on? I find that hard to believe -- because I use the phone for long periods with other activities.

The only way to truly compare would be to read emails for 90 minutes solid and compare to battery after 90 minutes of AB
