OK not sure what is going on here.
I have a forum and if I download a animated gif to use as avatar it only shows the first frame when I upload it to the forum, I have never had this trouble with a win system. Is it Mac doing this? Is there a work around or a fix?

I can't answer why you're getting the results you're getting with animated GIFs but, I can tell you this:

Look over at my icon, it's an animated GIF, I created it in Photoshop Elements 3 on a G4 iMac running OS X 10.4.11, so I'd say that the Mac is not the problem. Something is getting munged along the way from the download to the the Mac to the upload.

lets see if it works here! They will not let me have an avatar here so I will just upload it here. I see it in preview so it must work.
