Apps definitely open and run fast on the M1, though UNFORTUNATELY I’m finding some of the UI animations to be choppy and less smooth than they should be.

These are the circumstances I've noticed:
1) Opening a folder in the Launchpad that has more than 3 rows (Significantly less smooth than other folders)
2) After taking a screenshot and clicking on it on it (ie. to edit it) ALL system animations become stuttery/jerky: moving windows, opening Mission Control, opening Launchpad, etc...
3) As another user (@zkap ) also noticed, these issues happen other times as well, unpredictably: "Sometimes window switching is jittery, like frame drops on the iPhones, the animations stutter a little, then it's smooth again and I can't tell what causes it"

Would love it other users would check out these scenarios, and offer thoughts/advice.

*These issues present specifically on an HDPI display resolution of 2560x1440 or more. (I have a LG Ultra 5k on the default retina "2560x1440" AND a LG 4K on a scaled resolution of 2560x1440.) However, if I reduce the resolution to 1920X1080, the issues are gone. Using a Hackintosh with 2-3 year old hardware, the same LG 4k is smooth as butter (same version of Big Sur)

While I didn't have issues 1 and 2, I can confirm issue 3. However, this appears to be fixed in 11.2. Haven't seen it for quite a while during the past beta / RC releases.

I'm on the latest developer beta and no improvement. Can you check #2 (take a screen shot, click on it, and while it's open open/move other windows? For me, this is ALWAYS leads to a system-wide lack of smoothness.
