You love CraigsList. But sometimes you wish is was just a little easier to use......

Introducing [app]CraigsHarvest[/app]℠, your CraigsList companion.

Key Features:

Unique to CraigsHarvest: Search multiple locations in one search.
(Maybe you live in San Francisco, but you're willing to head to Sacramento or San Jose for just the right item. Search all 3 locations at once.)

Unique to CraigsHarvest: Search multiple sub-categories.
(Did the person listing your dream job post it in sales? systems? web? Doesn't matter -- pick as many as might apply, and search them all. At once.)

Set default search options.
(Do you find yourself looking for the same things a lot? Or re-searching the same multiple locations? Set your defaults, and skip right to putting in your search term --not your search parameters.)

Save search parameters to use again.
(Job hunting? Save the keywords you're looking for, the locations and the subcategories, and check the latest posts with a single click.)

Bookmark favorite items
("Ooh, that one looks nice. Wait....did I already look at that one?" Forget it -- see one you like, bookmark it, and it'll be a nice orange color easy to pick out of the list of results.)

Please Note- A limited number of categories (predominantly personals) are not searchable due to a larger number of postings that may not meet App Store content standards.

[app]CraigsHarvest[/app] currently covers craigslist sites in the US.

Coming soon:
  • More countries.
  • More languages.
  • Save comments on watched items.
  • ...and more

Version 1.1 Update and a Lite Version Coming Soon

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have submitted an update for CraigsHarvest (Version 1.1) to Apple for approval and should be released soon. The new version adds support for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. It also adds improved handling of intermittent network connections that can cause an "RSS Feed Not Available" message and in handling of malformed data from craigslist that can cause a crash.

As well, we have submitted a free (but ad-supported), lite version of CraigsHarvest for distribution. For more information about the differences between the lite and full version, feel free to visit its webpage: CraigsHarvest Lite

We will post a link to CraigsHarvest Lite once it is available on the App Store.

[app]CraigsHarvest[/app] 1.1 is now approved and available on the App Store! As always, update is free for all current owners!

Is this restriction required by Apple? I tried a free Craigslist searching app that seems to have the same restriction. If they are that sucks.

If they allow the Safari browser on the phone without this restriction they should allow your app also.

It is.

Yeah, it really does.

We agree. And we've tried to point out this "double-standard" to Apple but they don't agree. So, we are left playing by their rules which, admittedly, we agreed to when signing up.

There is hope though! iPhone OS 3.0 has greater parental controls and we should be able to open up those categories at that point.

How is this any different than the free Craigslist app?
Which free craigslist app are you referring to? There are several.

However, none of those allow you to search multiple locations nor multiple subcategories simultaneously. CraigsHarvest Lite can search one or two locations and one or two subcategories, and the full version lets you search an unlimited number of these.

Here is a plug for CraigsHarvest - it's great. I've tried about four different versions, and this one is the best, especially because where I am I almost always want to search two different locations.

Great app

Another plug, I have it and use it daily. The app is great. In my opinion it's the best craigs list app available.

Thanks, guys! Even little plugs like these make us proud and help to justify our efforts. :)

Version 1.1.5 Update Available Now

[app]CraigsHarvest 1.1.5[/app] is now available for purchase (or free update for previous owners). Besides a number of general improvements and bug fixes, the big feature of this release is a new Preferred Country setting that is accessible via the Settings app. No need to see countries that you're not interested in searching. Hope you enjoy it and don't hesitate to contact us at support @ craigsharvest dot com if you have any issues. Thanks.

Version 1.2 is now available

CraigsHarvest 1.2 is now available for purchase (or free update for previous owners). New in this version is most importantly the ability to search the Personals category and the Adult Services subcategory, the first (and only, so far) craigslist iPhone OS 3.0 app to do so. Also, this version includes a new search results table format which normally includes price and location.

This looks like a decent CraigsList App. The search function is gold when it comes to CraigsList. You wouldn't have any promo codes, would you? :D
