Announcing iPad 3G availability... what time of day?

So, when Apple does finally let us know what day the 3G is going to be available, how and when will that go down? (as in time of day)

I want to know what time of each day I should be checking this forum and/or Apple's site to see the announcement, so I can then quickly make my in-store pickup reservation.

What time does Apple do this? Will be with a lot of fanfare like the initial announcement, or do you expect a simple announcement on their web site?

This will keep me from checking every hour or so every day! :)
 
It will most likely be random.

Probably a week before, or they just may announce it the same day.

I'm shooting for April 24th. (Which is a saturday)

2 more weeks should do it.:D

I'm also waiting for a 16GB + 3G iPad:)

Yeah, I was hoping the answer would be, "Apple does this at 10 am PST" or something along those lines.

I guess I'll just keeping checking every hour or so when I have a spare second to ping Apple.com and this forum. :D
 
My guess is that they won't announce it and people will just see their cards charged. Then a day or so later Apple will say that they are shipping. That's what happened with previous devices that had no set release date.
