Getting fed up of supporting Apple with buying iTunes shows (which is my preference).
But then the additional seasons do not continue, they either never show up or move to netflix/prime etc....... 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠

Just watched Colony seasons 1 & 2 which where fantastic.
No season 3 on iTunes or dvd/Blu-ray.
Found it on prime (US), but really object to paying monthly.

Does anyone know if you can watch prime content from another region?
It is not on UK prime.

Welcome to the new world. This isn't an Apple issue, it's an industry problem.

If you object to paying monthly then you forgo the opportunity to watch the programming.

I get you, I truly do. I object to having to pay to watch CBS All Access to get my Star Trek fix. So I don't pay and I don't get to watch the shows.

It's sadly really that simple. And annoying.

Yup, frustrating to say the least. A lot of it has to do with licensing as well and it also varies from country to county.. For some studios, why sell when you can get a steady monthly fee?

Yeah, it's just annoying when you start watching a show for a couple of seasons in a particular format, then it's moved to another source.

Anyone able to watch content from another Prime location?
Don't know why it's not on UK prime.

Licensing. Companies buy seasons for a fixed time. If a show moves networks then you're SooL. Lucifer did that for example. Moved from Fox to Netflix.

Most streaming companies are really good at detecting if you're coming in via a VPN to bypass GeoLocking. I suspect Amazon may be just as good at that.

Dunno how old you are but I remember when either ITV or the BBC would suddenly stop showing an imported series which would leave you hanging because the chances are (in those days before the Internet) you'd never have another choice or know the outcome of the series.

So true....(I am that old ;) ), Supernatural was originally on itv then moved to sky.

Sky? Sky? I'm going back to when there was just BBC1, BBC2 and the various regional commercial stations that operated under the ITV moniker (I grew up with ATV back in the day, long even before Central took over!)

Agreed it's not Apple's fault, but where I'm very mildly irritated is that Apple is doing it with their own shows! The Morning Show ought to be on iTunes. They can charge more per episode or even release it on a delay if they're worried about cannibilizing their subscription service, just give me the option. It's Apple's own service, and subscriptions are annoying.

Do those not come to iTunes on a few months delay? The Good Fight—another CBS All Access exclusive—does.

Only discovery season 1 on iTunes.
I may have to get dvd of season 2, been waiting about 7 months for iTunes since dvd release, still nothing.
Main reason I started buying digital was have far too many discs.

...didn't Season 2 just come out this winter? Sorry, I'm not up to date on Star Trek—but if so, that makes sense to me. It'll probably become available in time.

Yeah but it's already 7 months.....
I know as soon as I get it, iTunes version will come out (or maybe not).

You can't rely on iTunes alone. I recommend getting an MA, Movie Anywhere, account and link it with all the major vendors, including iTunes. Then you can shop all over. I stopped buying through iTunes ages ago due to this same type of thing and the fact that the Distributors, Production Companies and whatnot really don't like Apples "Strictness". Although they may use the new (and old) Mac Pros to edit everything we see on the screen. I had a VUDU (which is what I think got Apple into it) account long before Apple got into the biz and it's been great. I have to shop various vendors to get full series seasons. And then when filtered through MA, which some won't, they show up almost everywhere including iTunes. I have had HD movies redeemed in VUDU or MA show up in iTunes as 4K. That was and is a nice surprise.

Colony season 3 is available on iTunes US. Perhaps you can create a US account and obtain a US iTunes gift card to pay for it?

Thanks I will check this out.... 👍
I think I looked into this many years ago when I travelled to NY a lot, I was gonna get a gift card, but I am sure you need a US postal address to setup an account.

If you’re wanting season 2 and haven’t seen it yet then currently it’s only available via Netflix, you could always subscribe for one month.

Yeah I could do the same on Prime, but then I have season 1 itunes, but no season 2 in my collection..... ;). For myself it's not just about watching the show, it's part of my film/tv series library.
