Since upgrading to CS4, Illustrator has this annoying behaviors that I don't know if it's "general behavior", maybe my Illustrator is corrupted...or whatever.

When an object, or several of them, are contained within a clipping path and you select them, only the clipping box shows being highlighted. In earlier versions the clipping box and all the objects being "clipped" where highlighted.

Just wondering if anybody else experiences this...or maybe it's time to re-install.

No, mine does that too. I just figured it's a feature. It helps me out a lot when I have a bunch of art masked into one shape, it makes doing layouts a lot easier.

Sometimes you can go into artwork view and use the direct selection or group selection tools. Although, weirdly enough, that doesn't always work. You can also select the part, go into the Object menu>Clipping Mask>Edit Contents.

OK, another annoying behavior...

..and maybe this one is a bug after all.

When more than one object is selected to be copied, once I press Command+C the objects are immediately deselected...ok, this is not that annoying but on previous versions this did not happen. It must be a bug because it doesn't happen all the time...unless there's a pattern I haven't detected.

This one is annoying. When the copied objects are pasted (normal paste, paste in fromt or in back) they immediately are deselected...it annoys me because most of the time after pasting the objects need to be repositioned.
