As is known to all,Apple legacy products are still chased by a large group of fans. And I am one of them.

As for me, I have a 2011 MacBook Pro running OS X Mountain Lion, some old iPods and an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.So iTunes makes it easier to manage those old iPhones and iPods.

Since October 2019,I had been using iTunes 11.0.4 on my Windows 7 PC for quite a while, and everything worked just fine.Early this year(2022) I began to use my dad’s 2011 MacBook Pro with Mac OS X Lion.I found that the App Store in iTunes 11.X on OS X wasn’t working properly, the download process would not start. When I noticed this issue,I quickly tried iTunes 12 on macOS High Sierra with my aunt’s MacBook Air,and everything is just the same—the “download” button didn’t work.

And now,I guess Apple have completely banned older versions of iTunes, when you try to log in App Store in iTunes 11.X,it will urge you upgrade to the newest version of iTunes…

Desperate for solutions…I miss my iTunes 11!

ps:You can use Fiddler to acquire older versions of any app in App Store in iTunes on PC.

I have iTunes 12.6.5 for Windows (x64) running in Crossover on Big Sur and I can still download apps (ipa files).
