Even though I love macOS, there are some features just annoy the crap of me.
For example.
1.) When I created a new folder to store files from an old folder, if I drag the files from the old folder to the new one, it will create an alias of the the file in the old folder, not the actual file. The only way I know of to get around this is to copy the file in the old folder then paste it in the new folder,. How cumbersome! Is there a trick to do it?

2.) Sticky key. This is a big nuisance, sometimes I accidentally touched some key combinations, the sticky key is turn on without me knowing it. I drives me crazy!!!w can I permanently disable sticky key?

3.) This is a weird one. My Mac has multiple desktop set up. It is a nice convenience to switch between apps. But one problem is if I drag an app trop high to the top, it automatically log me out! to log in again, how annoying and how to stop it? Thanks.

1) You figured out the solution and it's not that big of a deal. Windows does this too, depending on what you're dragging
2) You can turn that off
3) No idea here, never had that happen

moving files should NOT create alias (unless, for example, you're dragging an app from the Applications folder). where are your files stored? In your home folder? perhaps a folder permission error...

worse-case scenario, just highlight all the files you want to 'move', then option-drag them to the new folder. this will make copies. then you can delete the old folder...

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, the third one is odd, because normally if drag the app to the top of the display, it would show a list of my desktops, but sometimes it log me out. And it doesn't happen all the time, only sporadically, I wonder if it's a bug of the OS?

One more annoyances. When I open a folder within a folder, it doesn't open to a new window, unless I right to choose it to open in a new window. Is there a setting somewhere to make this a default?

Command-Option-Drag creates an alias in one step.
