I noticed an annoying bug that is only affecting Safari browser. I am using last iPADOs version, in the IPP 10.5.
This is how it happens: randomly the browser gets unresponsive and doesn't allow you to write anything in form fields. The best site to test this is Google, try to create a new account there and write in the password (field).
accounts.google.com
At first I thought this could be a problem with this site. Then I cleaned cookies/temp files from Safari and tried to enter DuckDuckGo's settings. Since I saved specific settings in a password I defined here, I was trying to write said password in this field:
duckduckgo.com
Also, you can't type anything there. The problem with this bug is that 90, 95% of the time isn't happening. You go there and you are able to write anything. You may even go to Google now, just to check my complaint, and don't see anything wrong.
That doesn't mean isn't there. It's there, but only in random moments. This is what is really annoying about this.
Also, from my experience, Google's URL (see above) where we create a new account is the best one to test this bug. 50% of the time (perhaps more) I can't write anything anywhere there.
The funny thing is that I also have Firefox's browser (for iOS) installed. And in it this NEVER HAPPENS. Never happened, not even once.
So, what is really causing this? Could it be the Adblock I have enabled? Or is this a bug introduced in recent versions (don't know if since iOS 14)?
I will not be able to file a complaint with Apple's bug report system only based on what I said in this thread, will I? Are they ever going to fix this?
It wasn't happening before, that's for sure. I know this because I've been using Safari for iOS to create Google accounts for a long time. And this unresponsive keyboard that does nothing if I try to select the form field and type there only started to happen recently.
