OK. So, for no apparent reason, this has appeared on my trusty old iMac (running Mojave) desktop.

It slides in from the top righthand side of my desktop at 1 minute intervals and then slides out again, all the time!

I live in Japan, but am English and use the iMac in English.

It basically says that my iMac has "13 viruses" and I should install some McAfee software. Which I have no intention of doing.

I haven't clicked on it and want to remove it. But how?

Cheers.

A website you’ve accidentally allowed notifications too is likely causing this issue:
  1. Open Safari.
  2. At the top-left corner, click Safari, and then click Settings or Preferences.
  3. Click the Websites option at the top, then click Notifications on the left menu.
  4. Select the website you do not trust. Next to the website, select Deny to stop receiving push notifications from the website.

"Apple Notifications" looks shady, try to remove it.
When in doubt, remove everything from that list.
