iPad Pro Annoying.....top bookmark site opens

While viewing Safari in landscape mode with bookmarks tab on the left.
Numerous times while browsing, the top bookmark will open up when I either tap a 'keyboard key' or do some sort of swipe.
Don't know particularly what I am pressing, but it's annoying.

If the bookmarks tab is closed, the issue doesn't persist.....
Strange.
