I was hoping iOS 17.2 would finally fix an issue I have since iOS 16. I cannot believe this is so obvious and hasn’t been fixed yet. It literally happens every time I pick up my phone an unlock it. Here’s what’s happening:

When I set a custom wallpaper and then slide to unlock to go to the Homescreen the colors of my wallpaper suddenly turn dull. I could temporarily fix this issue by changing to a different homescreen and then changing back, but it keeps coming back after a while. I have given up on sending feedback to Apple because nothing ever happens. Are there people out there with the same problem and maybe have a working fix?

I thought I was the only person who was experiencing this, but glad to see that I’m not. I have also noticed that if I blur the homescreen wallpaper, this also fixes the bug. But most of the time, I don’t want to do that. When I was on PB, I submitted feedback to Apple, but obviously they don’t really care too much about it to fix it — or not a lot of people reported the bug.

For me the bug also persists when the wallpaper is blurred…
