I've not been able to find a widget for iP or complication for AW that shows annual step count.

I use the Steps app to display daily and weekly steps, but have yet to find a way or an app that will show a running total of annual steps on the watch face or iP widget.

Wondering if anyone knows of an app or setting that would show and update this via a widget.

Thanks in advance for the collective wisdom of the forum.

What’s the use case ?

Not sure I understand the question.

Are you saying how I use the information determines how to get it on a widget or complication?

Why do you need to know how many steps you’ve taken year to date?

I get daily or even weekly but after that…what benefit are you getting from that info? Not judging just curious.

Well, I suppose as for most complications and health data: for monitoring, time period comparison, challenging oneself to "do better", family and friend competition, doctor recommendation, for the sheer curiosity factor?

Thank you for the feedback and replies.

But it’s over a year? Your dr is really telling you to get 3.65 million steps a year? You’re comparing year over year?

No widgets, but this app might give you what you are looking for. Privacy focused indy developer - rare in this space.

I use one called HealthView. The widgets and complications are only daily, unfortunately, but you can get weekly/monthly/annual counts in the app. Try for free, and then offers both a one-time purchase and a subscription model. Not as private as the one mentioned above, but it is updated frequently and that one isn't.
