another bootcamp question.

im looking to get a imac and run bootcamp to play some pc games that i play anyway im looking around to buy a copy of Windows xp sp2 and i found a Oem version for 90 bucks will bootcamp take sp2 oems?

I think it'll work, eventhough i'm not sure about the legality. Also, touch wood, if something happens to your hard drive your copy of Windows is gone for good. Some more knowledgeable MR member will hopefully clear this up...

I suppose your imac is new, then it's completely legal to buy an OEM version. I would make sure it has a Vista upgrade coupon first though.. Besides that, it will work.

yeah they have a coupon to upgrade to vista so that means even with the imac i can send it in for a free upgrade to Vista?

Yep, not sure how it works exactly, but you will get vista from MS.
