So, I've been asking email client questions. Here's another.

I decided to switch over to Thunderbird because it's got some really nice features. However, it seems to run significantly slower than Mail, and often hangs. Anyone else experiencing this.

The About Thunderbird window says I have version 0.6b. I downloaded this from the Mozilla site two or three days ago.

Thanks.

I use Thunderbird also. I have noticed the "hanging" problem with the latest version, 0.6. I'm not sure what causes this, it only seems to hang when I quit the app. Its not so much of a big deal because I just do a Force Quit to make it actually go away. Even then it doesn't happen all the time. Thunderbird is a great mail client and I much prefer it to Apple's Mail, so I'm just going to stick with it. Sorry I don't have a solution for you. You could try posting on the Thunderbird forums located here:

I'm using it now also. Haven't had much use with it yet and I am still trying to find my way around it. I haven't seen what you refer to as hanging though. What I would like to know is how do I import my mail from "Mail" when I go to tool>import, the only choice I have id "Communicator 4.x" and that's not even on my computer, I'm also miffed at the lack of keycommands to send and recieve or file messages. Can you guys shed any light on these issues?
