I have not been abler to get my external monitor to work after upgrading yesterday. I've spent way too long with Apple's chat and trying various things such as setting up a new account, safe booting, reloading the operating system and have come away that they really don't know how to fix it. I've got a 2016 15" i7 MacBook Pro so than should not be any issue. Cruising around the internet I found someone else on YouTube who has the exact issue and has not found a way to solve it.
Going to displays, hitting "option" and having the it look for the monitor does absolutely nothing, there is no signal to the screen. I've checked all cords, hooked my HDMY adapter directly to the FB3 port and still nothing.
If anyone happens to come across a fix I'd love to know.
and BTW, it worked perfectly right up until the time I upgraded.
