For those that are having second thoughts about this notebook, I want to say that you'll love it, go for it withouth thinking.

Mine is dead silent, does not whines, does not moos (at leats not now):) and they don't get that hot as many people say. You can use it in your lap while surfing the web with no problem (even in shorts). Let's say it's just warm.

I got a black one, it looks nice, very nice.:D

This is my first Mac, so I am getting used to many things of OS X, but I hope to continue with this happy beggining. Wish me luck.

Kind of useless post, I know, but just wanted to say how happy I am with this notebook.

just one quick question....my trackpad mouse click seem to not be the same in the right side. it sounds different if you click here than if you click in the left side.

I mean, I can't select nothing if I click the right side of the button.

Me too

I love my macbook. (Ijust got it for grad)
I have had no problems and I expect none in the future.
Knock on wood.

Glad to hear that you're happy with it! Yeah, I made that choice too. If I kept waiting for another revision, I just would never be able to enjoy the experience of having a faster computer.

I just came from a 1 Ghz Aluminum PowerBook G4 to a 2.0 Ghz White MacBook. And it's like, 6 times faster! I'm VERY happy with it. Especially since I maxed out the RAM to 2 GB and got a 100 GB 7200 RPM HD. It's BLAZING fast. I couldn't be happier! Feels just as fast, or sometimes even faster than a Power Mac G5 dual 2.0 Ghz! Insane eh? :D

Mac rules! The MacBook is definitely a sweet machine, though I wouldn't say it's quite as fast as the Dual 2.0 GHz. It is a great desktop replacement for all but the most demanding users, especially when hooked to a Cinema display.

I've had my MB for about three weeks and couldn't be happier.

No mooing, or other unusual noises.

It does run hot, but it's a laptop and the casing is plastic (compared to my old Titanium G4 Powerbook).

Congrats on making the switch and on the purchase of your very first Mac. Welcome to the community.
