another "How To" change Harddisk in My MBP Question???

hi, i searched the forums, but can't seems to get any info on this, cause i'm planning to change th harddisk in My MBP by myself, is that possible ?
and also will i Void the warranty on my MBP ?
i know that the warranty will void for the Harddisk, but how about the entire machine ???

and also being new to mac, when i change my harddisk, can i somehow "copy" all the contents and settings in my old hardisk to the new one ?
or must i start from scracth again ?
Do i need any software to do this ?
and wiil the system runs smoothly without a "fresh install"?

the reasons is that i just purchae this MBP and there's currently no 160GB hdd available in my country yet, they say it may come in 1-2 weeks time, but in the meantime, i want to transfer all my data from my previous windows laptop, to this new MBP, but if after the 160GB harddisk arrive i must do the same task again, i rather wait untill the 160GB is arrive in my country.

can anyone help ?
and also i remember there's a page where u can see images instruction to open up MBP and change the harddisk but i forget the sites ,can someone give me the link ?

Anyway, to answer your question you can follow this guide to change your harddrive but I strongly suggest you take your time!

You can do an archive & install, just follow this guide at Apple.com and it will backup most of your stuff.

How will installing the hard disk void it's warranty? It's the computer that you will be ripping to pieces to get the hard drive in. Therefore, it will be the computers warranty that you will be voiding. Personally I like my warranty more then an extra 40Gb.
