IPHONE 12 MINI WILL NOT SUPPORT 5G NETWORKS

"Judging by the new data published on the web, fans of Apple smartphones will have to pay a lot to join the 5G club. The most affordable fifth-generation smartphone from the company will be the $ 1000 iPhone 12. But what about the iPhone 12 mini, which has been talked about a lot lately? Unfortunately, it will not receive support for 5G.

This was confirmed by The Wall Street Journal analyst Tom Forte. At the same time, the smartphone is still priced at $ 700. A lot, considering that the same amount in the US is asked for a brand new Galaxy S20 FE 5G. And the new OnePlus 8T flagship, also with 5G support, will not be much more expensive.

The rest of the iPhone 12 lineup will support 5G. Prices start from $ 1000 for the iPhone 12 with a 6.1-inch screen. iPhone 12 Pro with a screen of the same diagonal will cost $ 100 more. Well, the most expensive will be the iPhone 12 Pro Max at a price, according to various sources between $ 1200-1300.

It is expected that among the new products there will be a place for the smallest iPhone, which can be called the iPhone 12 mini, and it will receive a 5.4-inch screen. This model has a chance to become the best-selling smartphone in the new series of Apple devices. Some cite a weaker chipset than the other members of the iPhone 12 line as a cost-cutting factor.

For example, network whistleblower @MauriQHD claims that Apple has created a mid-range B14 chip. Allegedly, its appearance was the result of the company's desire to minimize the price tag and offer an affordable model. In fact, they took the Apple A14 Bionic as a basis, but “tightened” the frequency of the colors. It is possible that the iPhone 12 mini will not be the only smartphone of the company where the new chip will find its use. It may well be installed in the upcoming iPhone SE Plus also. "

It’s not a credible rumor, it’s a clickbait article.

We know for example, based on battery photos, the iPhone 12 mini has a redesigned logic board and has been repositioned on the left side of the chassis. Yet, this article believes it won’t have 5G?😆

The B14 rumor doesn’t make any sense and has been shot down by L0vetodream.

Regular iphone 12 for £1000 wtf!!! I just cant see that happening, even with 5g support. I have seen rumours of the 5’4 version being 4g only, and to be honest thats fine with me, but if its got this b14 chip then its a deal breaker and ill just keep using my SE for a while in conjunction with an Ipad air 4.

No 5G or weak 5G radios in other models, no 120hz display, no real camera improvements, smaller battery...and Apple is charging MORE? Their greed and arrogance has reached an absurd level. They are playing a dangerous game. Huge companies have fallen in the past for such stupidity.

What does this last sentence even mean? “Tightened” the frequency of the colors? 😋

Dexbell to be fair to Apple they would only put in 120 hz screen into an iphone if they can perfect its variable refresh rate, as there is no way they would implement it the way samsung does, Apple likes to keep things as simple as possible for its users. Also with cameras, there is a limit to how much improvement you can get out of pinhole sensors each year, computational photography is the future now and the A14 should take care of that. They do charge a lot i agree, but at least they offer 5 year support and iphones last longer than androids in general, so you kind of get your moneys worth. Me personally i just buy their mid range products, which is enough for my needs.

Yes rumors have bounced back and forth much this season, I'm not listening to anything anymore except the official announcement.
