How about repetitively type “it” and choose the correct form for 5 times or more.

It changes Peter (persons name) to all caps “PETER” all the time for me.

Oddly enough if I type it all caps on purpose it switches back to proper case.

Omg, I have this exact same issue with my friend's name!

How do you stop it? Adding a text replacement seems messy (if that even would).

When you get an 'i' bug, this doesn't work.

FWIW, I had it with 'is' -> 'I.S.' ... I just used GBoard for a while. Then I randomly tried the native keyboard again and it had fixed itself. No updates, nothing. Just randomly fixed. That's after it managed to transfer itself from my 6s to my X.
