i have a 2 Ghz Macbook with a keyboard that needs to be replaced. i have found someone with a keyboard that he pulled out of a 1.8 Ghz, and he is willing to sell it to me.

Does anyone know if the keyboard modules from the two different models are the same?

There only seems to be two parts -- the white one and the black one -- but not different CD vs C2D modules. Just make sure it's a color match for your macbook.

The Saga concludes (I hope).

I got my new keyboard in from the 1.8 Ghz. I discovered that there are two rubber bumpers on the right hadn side, just above where keyboard meets the CD drive. They come off easily with a screw driver. My guess is that this is because the 1.8 Ghz model comes with a different shaped drive than the 2.0. This means, as best I can tell, that while you can put the 1.8 keyboard into a 2.0 Macbook, you can not go the other direction.

Just thought you might like to know.
