hello all,

i was just wondering.. with the january 6th show, or whatever it is, is this when they will announce when the Mactels will be released or is this date when they are released.

I am interested in getting a 14" ibook, and want to get it before the Mactel is released because i believe that if i were to get the ones with Mactel i should wait till the second generation because the first generation will have some problems. So what i want to do is buy the ibook g4 14" right before the Mactel chips come out.

When will this date be???

Nobody knows except Steve, and he isn't telling.
Usually, not always, there are remaining stocks of an older model that may (or may not ) be discounted after the introduction of a newer model.
And there is always the Apple refurb store.

They are used computers that Apple rebuilds and sell in almost new condition. They also give you a 1 year warranty and the option to purchase apple care.

I'm sure it will be posted in every thread. People are getting very exited about this silly things. They probably won't change the way people compute at all. It's no different than the jump from the G4 to the G5. The G4 is still in use and does a pretty damn good job.
