Has anyone tried mirroring from a mac with no monitor attached to the mac?
I am running a 2011 Mac Mini server and only getting garbled images on the AppleTV. I also can not change the menu option to use Display Settings from: AppleTV (it keeps reverting to This Mac), unless the monitor is attached to the mac.
My deeper problem is that I have the mini and appletv attached to the same Receiver via HDMI. My intention is to relocate the Mini now that mirroring is available, but I would like to make sure it is all working properly before I purchase a monitor. I am also concerned that the monitor may need to be turned on for mirroring to work
