I got my 2.2 GHz MBP over the weekend and it's perfect.

-> I don't suffer form the yellowing anywhere on the screen. My color profile came perfect

-> My lid raises up a little more on one side when closed but that's how any notebook I've ever had was and it's not noticeable until you squint with one eye and look close

-> It doesnt over heat. I had Adobe Illustrator, iPhoto, Firefox with 8 tabs open, iTunes, iChat, and Speed Download open all running, fans going at 2000 RPM and my notebook was sitting at 52 degrees Celcius. Not bad at all and the bottom enclosure was 90. Didnt feel hot at all

-> It zooms. I have all those apps i said open above and it does them all with no lagging or anything

-> I don't even know that "flickering" is

-> I love Mac OSX WAYYYYYY better than windows. It seems so much more efficient. I like how you can just drag an app to the trash and thats that. None of that uninstalling stuff I used to do on windows. Apps used to leave trace files on my hard drive

-> I love the Apple remote and how everything is so integrated.

Overall my MBP is GREAT and i made a good choice getting the 2.2 because my 120Gb is wonderful.

Congrats, a good find indeed.

Im experiencing the same joy. I got my 2.4 MBP on wednesday and it is a gem. No problems whatsoever. Im extremely impressed with its battery life and amazing speed.

+1 to the perfect MBP club

Welcome the the club for Perfect MBP owners :p Gratz with your new comp... :)

I do want to note that, some programs do leave other files, which is why i recommend Appzapper or another uninstaller,,, simply drag the app into that instead of into the trash and it removes any hidden folders too :p

i hope mine will be perfect!
i should get in anywhere between now and 1/2 an hour!!

Mine was perfect too. Congrats. I love this Machine. What an awesome peice of hardware.

how do I tell what week it was so we can figure out if they made some revisions that corrected problems from the past?

mine is pretty perfect as well, course my graphics programs (bryce 5.5 and Motion) crash all the time, but im getting used to that.

I can't tell a lie so I will tell you guys straight I had two apps crash. BitRocket and iChat have crashed on me. But I like how when an app crashes it doesn't mess up everything else. I can have my iChat crashed sitting there and use Firefox or Adobe Illustrator like nothing happened. Can't do that in Windows for some reason.

Because Windows is a horrible buggy system that hates all of man kind. :p;) and :apple: loves you.

hmmm well it looks like i also have a perfect mbp!
only problem is a 2mm gap on the left when closed, but that seems to be the norm.
no bottom 1/3rd yellowing, but i am surprised about how horrible the viewing angle is, alot of yellowing, but it doesnt really bother me when im right in front its crystal clear!

ive been playing/seting this thing up all day and im in love.

Just as a note, if you set two marginally weighty books on your closed MBP for several hours, or even over night, it tends to fix any uneven screen issues. It did for me, anyway. This is the only issue I've ever experienced with my MBP *knock on wood*, and it was really easy to fix.

I'm going to attempt that. Take one or two textbooks. That won't mess up the screen though? I just don't want to wake up with an imprint of my keys or the mouse button in the screen.
