Like a previous poster, I'm quite enamored of my play count function, seeing what I listen to over long periods of time, etc. Anyway, I have an oldish version of Itunes (low 4.x, I think), and I want to update on the same computer. Will my play count survive the updating? Thanks.

consolidate your msuic library and copy over your music folder to your new computer and your fine.

(just make sure that you copy over the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file, without that you WILL lose your playcounts, ratings,eq settings etc..)
