I've followed the steps from here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/best-airport-extreme-settings-for-a-ps4.1951490/
but no go.
The PS4 is only getting 1/2 the speed of my internet connection, wether it's wired or wireless. Everything else in the house is just fine.
My son's PS4 is hardwired, and I'm assigning it a static IP based upon it's MAC address, 10.0.1.202, outside the range of DHCP assignable addresses. I have confirmed the PS4 is getting the correct address.
I take the address and have it in the default host, which should allow it to be 100% exposed but it makes no difference. I have tried it with port forwarding no go. with port forwarding and default host no go.
I plugged the PS4 into the modem directly and full speed, so I'm assuming it's the apple router settings.
My network has all hard wired connections going to a pair Cisco SR224 unmanaged switches (everything else plugged in gets full speed) then going from that to the Extreme Router.
I've bumped up my connection with TimeWarner to 35mps and with every other device I can get 26 to 36 on speed tests, the PS4 gets 12-16. The upload speeds on all devices are 6+ mbps and on the PS4 it's 2-3mbps.
Previously when I had 15mbps it would be 6-8 down.
I'm guessing this is a PS4 issue with the latest firmware/software as the net is full of people complaining about it but thought I'd ask here.
Thanks for any help or insight you can provide!!
