Hey guys, it's another "can I use a Mac Mini for this?" question.

I'm looking to just get a base 2012 Mac Mini to run iTunes server and use Aperture and Garageband, nothing more taxing.

Is the i7 really worth the extra £180 odd just for those apps?

Thanks in advance.

There are better things to spend £180 on. You'd never never need the extra processing power for those tasks. Base unit all the way. If you need more storage, go external.

And it isn't a stupid question at all. We all start out asking ourselves this before any tech purchase!
